This September, we celebrate one of cinema’s most revered storytellers — Akira Kurosawa. 🎬 Special Screening: Wednesday Series

Join us this week at the cinema as we bring the excitement of the Wednesday series to the big screen! On Monday and Tuesday, we’ll be showing episodes 1–4 each day, the perfect chance to catch up or rewatch your favourite moments. Then from Wednesday through Friday, you can look forward to the new episodes, which will be screening every day, episodes 5, 6, 7, and 8. Stay tuned for our weekly schedule so you’ll know exactly which episode is playing at what time. And to make the experience even more special, over the weekend on Saturday and Sunday, we’ll be showing all the episodes 1-8 each day back-to-back. Don’t miss out on this unique event!

Calling all Boer soek ‘n vrou fans!  Boer Soek ’n Vrou is back! See you all each Thursday, remember to come earlier to secure your spot and your R50 combo, screening starts  20:00. We will screen Boer Soek ’n Vrou in both cinema 1& 2, followed by a second screening at 21:15. This is your chance to catch the new season and enjoy the warmth, drama, and romance that have made this show a favourite.

🎬 Movie Night | Wednesday 13 August

 Spring might be here, but at The Neelsie, we’re still turning the lights down low for a good scare! Our September Wednesday Night Screams series is designed for those who crave a jolt of adrenaline in the middle of their week. On 4 September, battle nature’s fury in Crawl (2019), a nail-biting thriller where the predators are just as dangerous as the storm outside. On 11 September, we lighten the mood without losing the chills with the hilarious zombie classic Shaun of the Dead. Then, on 18 September, step into the strange and bizarre with Army of Darkness, a cult favourite that mixes horror with outrageous adventure. Finally, on 25 September, brace yourself for the unsettling atmosphere of Goodnight Mommy, a slow-burning horror that will have you questioning every shadow. If you’re brave enough, join us every Wednesday at 10 PM and prove it.

😂 Movie Night | 17 September

Get ready for a night of outrageous laughs and ridiculous golf swings with Happy Gilmore and Happy Gilmore 2. Starting at 17:30, watch Adam Sandler in the original comedy hit that mixes golf with ice hockey rage and plenty of unforgettable one-liners. Then, at 20:00, the fun continues with the brand-new sequel, bringing back the humour, the underdog spirit, and the laugh-out-loud moments we’ve been waiting for. 🔥 Mission: Impossible Marathon | 27 September

Our epic Mission: Impossible journey continues with the next set of high-octane adventures. 27 September, take on the impossible with three thrilling instalments back-to-back. At 13:00, the tension begins with Ghost Protocol (2011), featuring daring stunts and globe-trotting espionage. At 17:00, the stakes rise in Rogue Nation (2015) as Ethan Hunt faces a shadowy organisation threatening the IMF from within. Then, at 20:00, strap in for Fallout (2018), the most explosive and critically acclaimed entry yet.
