It is the vibrant month of April, and our focus turns to the beating heart of the African Continent: South Africa. How lekker was it to be a Springbok supporter during the 2023 Rugby World Cup? Luckily we have endless reasons to celebrate our country – innovation, nature,  arts and culture, and many more. This month Neelsie Cinema salutes our country and all she has to offer.

We are thrilled to introduce our curator for this month, Rudolph Gerhardus Snyman known in most of our living rooms as the man, the legend! 

 Snyman is a formidable figure in South African rugby, renowned for his role as a lock. Snyman was a vital part of the South African squad that clinched victory in both the 2019 and 2023 Rugby World Cups, earning him the nickname 'The Viking'. Join us as we embark on a cinematic journey celebrating the rich tapestry of South African culture, guided by the quirkiness of The Viking.
